About The Performance

Colorado Ballet's 49th season will conclude with a three work program featuring a world premiere, a Company premiere and an audience favorite. The final production opens March 19 and runs through March 28. The Company will open with a world premiere by New York choreographer Brian Reeder, an emerging choreographer who has created works for several companies including the Washington Ballet and the Pacific Northwest Ballet. Following this world premiere will be the Company’s premiere of Echoing of Trumpets, a one act, compelling ballet, choreographed by Antony Tudor. In the bleak starkness of a village besieged, Echoing of Trumpets explores man’s inhumanity as he grieves for lost lives in an upturned world. Tudor expertly evokes the emotional turmoil caused by occupying soldiers on the people of a war-ravaged land. Concluding the program will be the ever popular and entertaining Celts, choreographed by Lila York and set to a tradition Irish score. This ballet is sure to have audiences tapping their toes!
